Updated version with the change from carlosh & galonsky! It support multiple touch devices (like a touchpad + a magic mouse) and the option to 3-click.
I don’t have time to improve MiddleClick much now but I guess it should turn into a preference pane and be more flexible & robust. Don’t hesitate to ping me on github if you improve it!
Cheers

Hope someone finds a way to disable the middle-click virtual scroll wheel thing that gets activated when you middle-click an empty space. This is the main problem when you accidentally tap with 3 fingers. On trackpads (but naturally not the Magic Mouse) 3-finger tap is preferable to 3-finger click IMHO.
Dear dev, your implementation is great.
A little request: can you enable the “tap” single click instead of real left/right single click on the magic mouse?
It’s silly that you can do it on the mac book pro touchpad and you cannot do on the magic mouse.
If there was an option to switch middlemouse back to Cmd-click instead of true middle-click, then I think that would solve the virtual scroll wheel problem. I know there’s some places where the middle click is more handy, but personally I find Cmd-click has more applications across more programs (selecting multiple files, drilling down in title bars, etc.).
Would it be possible to implement a real middle click ? (single finger click in middle of the mouse. Like for right click, it would be trigger if a single finger is detected in the middle of the mouse. I think it can be reasonable to divide the width to three zones.
Then, it would be great to implement fourth and fifth click in the bottom of the mouse, left and right !
Almost anything could be implemented as the Magic Mouse surface is similar to a touchpad. I don’t own a MM though so I won’t develop much for it..
how to install/deinstall MC?
Put the app in the starting list to install and delete the app to uninstall.
Wonderful little app, this has just fixed my one flaw with my new Magic Mouse!
What are the chances of being able to set the three finger click to open Spaces in the future?
When I put my Macbook Pro to sleep, I turn off the Magic Mouse to conserve the battery power. When I wake up the laptop and turn on the mouse, Middleclick doesn’t seem to work. I have to quit and relaunch the application. Any suggestions?
I usually turn off the mouse prior to putting the laptop to sleep.
