Open Link in New Tab with Double Click

A small greasemonkey script that open link in new tab when double clicked. It works surprisingly well and didn’t break too many sites so far.

It was required as my macbook does not support middle click with the trackpad.. hopefully it is a temporary fix and the multitouch goodness will allow tripple tap for middle click =) please !

update: check MiddleClick for a better solution

    I’ll just repost: http://userscripts.org/topics/23947

    1) Thanks for this very nice script. :)
    2) Though I use this a lot it does happen that I’ll have my left hand near Cmd, and in that case use the with a singleclick.
This scripts seems to deactivate this feature and just open the site in the same window.

I would really appreciate if you could solve this. :)

    Cheers from Denmark,

I have been searching for this since man first made gravy, but I have XP. Will it still work? And if not, can you help me find a script that will work in the same way please?

    Thanks,
    Milo

Hi, I also really like this script but unfortunately there is side effect it causes which is stopping me from using it.
I have no real experience with this type of thing so I don’t really know how to explain it so will have to give you an example as follows:

If you go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/tv then click on any tv programme then click on the “+ programme information” link, more information should slide from underneath it (is it flash?). When this script is enabled, however, the page refreshes when clicking a link like this causing the information to disappear again unless you stop the page from loading, but this can get annoying.

I can’t comment for others but I would definitely start using your script again and recomment it to others if you could fix this.

All the best from the UK, Guy
